In a letter addressed to the Director-General of Social Security and National Insurance Trust(SSNIT), Rock City lamented over the lack of stakeholder engagement regarding the sale of the four hotels. The negativity surrounding their bid was affecting their business.
Rock City Hotel has, therefore, withdrawn its bid to purchase the 60 percent shares of the Hotels owned by SSNIT, namely, La Palm Beach Hotel, Labadi Beach Hotel, Royal Ridge and Elimina Beach Hotel.
Rock City decision to withdraw comes after Organised Labour threatened to lay down their tools on Monday.
