Government announces suspension of all payments of external debts including Eurobonds, commercial loans and most of Ghana’s bilateral debts.
According to the Ministry of Finance, this is part of the measures being taken to save the country’s ailing economy. The suspension will not affect the payments of our multilateral debt, new debts contracted after 19th December 2022. The deadline for debt exchange program has been extended to December 30.
